ALL THE TOOLS
Well... 20-something of them anyway.
This'll be a log of the props that I've been working on with a friend and customer of mine.
Basically just the tools of Trek.
Most are going to be hollow for lighting and power. There's even talk of adding small led screens to some of the larger ones if we can pull off thin enough walls in the printing medium.
More to come as work progresses.

Great neatness. This kind of stuff tends to get forgotten.

Oh goodness
It never once occurred to me to use the 3D build to create props...
Kudos to you!

There are Times, Sir, when men of good Conscience cannot blindly follow orders. You acknowledge their sentience, but ignore their personal liberties and freedoms. Order a man to hand over his child to the state? Not while I"m captain.

Indeed it does, certainly a nice change from normal stuff though.Tesral wrote:Great neatness. This kind of stuff tends to get forgotten.
Heh, its alright. This kind of stuff is where I started my journey into 3D modelling, Halo props and the like were where I learnt the basics of printing. It's all quite calming compared to starship modellingMoongrim wrote:Oh goodness

Anyway, more pictures.
The customer took some slightly more visible shots and lit up one of them. Oh and also the next finished model is an osteo fuser.

Can the polarity be reversed? I mean, this is Star Trek.
Besides, it's just the responsible thing to do.

You'll need a phase modulator. Whatever the hell that is...
Consequently, here is one I prepared earlier.
