1/1400 Makro Trek USS Vico

Post by Dr_Corsa »

Hi!

Here is an nother Federation ship, the Obert Class U.S.S. Vico, NAR-18834 from Makro Trek.

It's an old model kit, I get it used from ebay. I painted it like the studio model with Revell and Humbrol colours.

For decaling I used different decals from diferent kits to perform the best resolt, like on the USS Pegasus. I choosed this Name, because it's only one of two federation ships (and minimum one dry dock) with the NAR registry. Very funny :)

About the design: fabricated for ST 2 the Grissom is one of the worst design mistakes of starfleet, sorry guys, but Im not really a fan of this hole between the upper and lover sections.

But as a part of my fleet and followed by my dream to get all ship classes it's a must have ship.

What do You think about this class?
Michael

Fine job making a silk purse out of the sow's ear.

I too get severely annoyed with some of the designs of Movie era ships. Like how on earth do the personnel access the secondary hull? Turbo lift? Stairwell? Slides?
There are Times, Sir, when men of good Conscience cannot blindly follow orders. You acknowledge their sentience, but ignore their personal liberties and freedoms. Order a man to hand over his child to the state? Not while I"m captain.

  I think 3 ways are possible there:

- as shown at ex astris scientia: the turbolifts slides up and down
- like on the 26 century's Enterprise-J there ar no lifts, but some transporters on the ship
- like Trip in last season of Ent between the NX-01 and NX-02 at warp 5: cable pull

Greeting,
Mich
