This Nebula pod would be AWESOME!

I also believe there are some more pics of this part.

For me it's a canon part, because Drexler build it but it was never used in DS9...

While I can't say I love that.....unique.....upper pod they put together (with out of scale components, naturally), I did like the article where they discussed impulse engine exhaust. It's something that's bothered me for a while, and I'm amused that my thoughts about impulse match what some ship designers thought at the time. For proper "fast" sublight speeds, it really needs to be a function of warp drive, just at levels under 1c. With that in mind, there's really no need for an orange glowey exhaust port. (Still looks cool though!)
