Stellar Voyages (alternate Trek)

Post by Rommel_Twee »

Hi all,
Have been working on these for a while now. My take on Trek. These basically stemmed from wanting smaller scale(20K & 7K) miniatures. So I proceded to start building up CAD library of parts the Terran Union(Federation), Ramoran(Klingon), Detroitan(Romulan), Writhern(Gorn), Anasata(Cardassian) and a few others.

Threw together a really basic timeline but tried not to deviate TOO much from normal Trek
Timeline
• 20th century(late)
-Robotic probes to the planets of Terra system.

• 21st century
• 22nd century
• 23rd century
• 24th century

20th Century
-Robotic probes to the planets of the Terra System
-Early Manned Low Orbit/Luna/Space Stations
21st Century
-Advanced robotic probes to the planets of the Terra System and into inter-stellar space
-Advanced Mid Orbit Space Stations
-Manned missions to the planets of the Terra System
-Early colonization of the planets of the Terra System
-Advanced fusion power plants allow for high-velocity interplanetary travel and experimentation with the Alcubierre-Rosson tensor(ART) drive.
-The United Nations Stellar Corps is formed to spearhead the exploration of space around the Terra System and provide security for the same.
-Several unmanned ART drive probes are sent to 9 local star systems to scout for possible interstellar neighbors and possible colonization.
-Manned pathfinder missions are sent to 5 of the 9 probed systems. These are followed within 5 years with colony missions.
-Extended pathfinder missions
22nd Century
-Advanced ART drives are developed and the UNSC begins a slow expansion into the galaxy
-Contact between Terra and several non-human civilizations. Among those, the Sethian, the Detroitan Emirates and the Rodarians.
-Multiple incursions by Detroitan military and state sponsored civilian groups into Terran controlled systems sparks the first military conflict for Terra
in space. This war last for 5 years.
-After the War, The Alliance is formed. The original membership is the new formed Terran Union, the Sethians, the Rodarian Reaches and the Cothans. All groups
concede that the Terran Union should police the space of The Alliance will the other races contribute technology and support. The formation of the Civil,
Exploritory and Military council occurs at this time.
-The Golden Age of exploration begins.
-First contact with the Ansata
-First contact with the Ramoran Stellar Imperium and several “skirmish” and “police-action” incidents.
23rd Century
-Sethian scientists create the technology that allows for "safe" use of anti-matter. This technology allows for faster ART drives to be used.
-Starships reach the theroetical edge of the galaxy.
-In a what is called a simmering "blood feud" with the Ramorans and Ansata, the Detroitans start a horrific war. This lasts for 11 years and draws
many races into the blood bath that is known as the carnage wars.
-The first space-based life forms are encountered.
-....

So, starships. Will start with early Earth ships. Im sure you will see some resemblance to canon. And yes, most of the nacelle struts are 'fat'. That is for 3D printing purposes.

Image

Initially built as a test bed for newer ART nacelles, the Houston quickly proved itself as more than a test ship. The UES Baltimore, HF-34, was the first Earth ship to contact the Sethian race.

Interesting designs to be sure, but don't inhale at the wrong time.

Well, hello there. While I like a lot of them, this design is the one that catches my eye the most.

I've found that I seem to have an affinity for ships that use the Daedalus Class as a source of inspiration

Love the Jefferies designs too. Might end up doing more based on his sketches.
The station. That is what I call a Remoran D'Fense class starbase. Having looked at several Klingon station on the interwebs, I was trying for something that was close to what I was seeing. Still have plenty of detailing to add.

Will probably end up doing an upgraded version later to handle ships of the TNG eras. Right now though at 7K scale is measures out at 10.51 x 11.05 x 8.25 inches
