So today I find it I’ve decided to start my next project. I’m not done with the other ones but I need a break from the TMP versions of ships for a little while so I’m heading back to the TNG style. And in doing so I am heading to another one of Paul01’s awesome creations. The palomino class, one of Rick Sternbach’s Voyager concepts. With further ado here is the initial views of the ship.
Here’s the concept, with the engines open
And for size reference here she is next to the intrepid class USS Hephaestus and a Klingon bird of prey.

Nova, Paul01 has the masters and is able to Mold them out when he has time. I do know that he’s taking a break temporarily from doing any of this so might be a little while, but as you can see below he has it all set up so you can do it one of four different ways.
Here is the concept sketches showing the 4 configurations:- Gidiot

Re: Next project...
So I decided I didn’t like the “sand” color... so I’ve changed direction...
I’m also toying around with the “Kennedy” class boarder patrol ship: And not to mention I’ve been fooling around with the AWACS module and my little versions of a Titan (I forget what the class is... what? And I call myself a trek geek?!?!?) Ok I probably won’t add the AWACS to the titan, but you never know...

Some very interesting configurations you’ve got going on.

Paul has this?
OH HECK YES. It'll be the first time I order from him (goshdarnit, why must it be so far away!) but for this one I'm 1000% in. It's a ship I was meaning to do a long time ago back when Novahobbies was still a bidness, and I'm so glad to see it's here.
Oh, and your Border Cutter size is beautiful.

Have you considered doing yours with magnets so you can swap parts out?

Re: Next project...
When I had Paul do this for me I had him mold out for of the larger concept so I actually can do one each way. And I’m still not nearly good enough to be playing with magnets and all that I am fairly competent enough to paint these in a way that I won’t shake my head and complete dismay. There is certainly not professional quality but they’re not bad for an old guy who took it up again and only has a few minutes here and there to do them.novahobbies wrote:Have you considered doing yours with magnets so you can swap parts out?
So using Tamiya AS-5 Light Blue (luftwaffe) As the base with flat gull gray as the base for the grays, and lights see gray as the alternate color I’m starting to like this there’s a little bit of as the base with flat gold gray as the basis for the grays, and lights see gray as the alternate color I’m starting to like this there’s a little bit of Hellblau In the nose and probably a few other minor detail sections and then light ghost gray for the areas around the plasma conduits to and from the warp engines. I’ll probably be using some sort of British golf armor light stone for the rays sections of those plasma conduit areas.
