Love the concept and what you did to the impulse deck. A metal aztec would really make this pop.

I have enjoyed reading this thread, and I am very impressed with the work done.

Well done!

Awesome job. Really like the idea you put out here.

No ship in service ever stays the same as when was launched. So changes over time from April to to Pike to Kirk only may sense.
Love it

I know this post is a few years old, and the OP may not post much here anymore, but that is a great re-imagining!

I'm especially liking the impulse engine and wonder how that was done. Also, the shuttle bay change is pretty interesting.

It really DOES look like it could have been an Enterprise during Captain April's time.

It is giving me some ideas form the USS Republic I am doing just post Four Years War. Grayer, with a touch of metallic.

I'm going to tackle April's Enterprise soon. I love the metallic look and the design elements integrated here and in shark's build from a few years back

I’m glad you bought this one back up to the top as I missed it first time around (I was on my sabbatical back then :) ).

It’s a very good take on the subject. I notice the last time the author was active was 9 months ago. I wonder what happened that he hasn’t been active for so long????
