Perhaps LV in the Trek universe could mean "Light Vehicle" once the Ripley is done I'll see if we can get a shot of her next to another ship, she's actually quite petite...

Given the large cargo doors on top of the hull, 'LV' could also stand for -Logistics Vehicle....a well armed one at that! :D

And as promised, here is the Baker class ship LV-426 next to a reliant class (soon to be modified into a Chandley/ Soyuz class variant USS NIMITZ for size comparison.

"Light Vessel" is a more appropriate term  but that's just semantics

please tell me the ship is mainly used for xenomorphic cataloging  or mineral surveying 8-)

This is either a Main Cargo bay door for the Saucer or an axillary shuttle bay I'll have to make my final decision once i've seen it in person.... I remember making the decal as a cargo bay, but I may need to have a dropship for dropping my marines after we lose contact with the colony...

Nice piece of work. Largest that has ever been done I think. Much better than the old FASA model.

Hey, can you give the dimensions on this build, please? That'll give me an idea of what I want to shoot for on a similar version that I'd like to either try and build myself or perhaps commission a printed model for.

Many thanks in advance!
