The place for all things related to the "sacred scale".

Despite the crazy inaccuracies and lack of detail on the Monogram Galactica, I've always wanted to super detail one- not trying to make a Galactica, but just a cool looking sister ship.

Unfortunately I got dumb and started modifying my Monogram kit, despite being one of the few models I actually finished about 20 years ago. I'm about halfway done. Now that I have a Moebius one, I'm going to follow your lead and call her a sister ship .

Hell yeah! MUCH more fun when you're not constrained by trying to match a 40 year old studio model!

I HIGHLY suggest buying a set or two if Utar Ships incredible 1:2256th scale SW cannons- they're perfect for adding all the point defenses that a Battlestar should have!

I've decided to include Glen Larson's sister 70's sci-fi show, Buck Rogers, with the Battlestar Galactica stuff (since they did share some of the ships and they are the same style - I thought it would be cool had the Galactica found 25th century Earth!). Here's the 2nd season Searcher, listed as 1/1600 scale (although next to the 1/2500 Viper in the landing bay, it may still be too small):
